Miss Kellie

Director

Miss Kellie is the Preschool Director at Darlington Early Childhood Center, bringing a wealth of experience in education and leadership. Prior to stepping into the director role, Miss Kellie was a beloved preschool teacher at the school until the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a shift in leadership. With a previous career in medical billing, she utilizes her attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage complex systems to ensure the smooth operation of the preschool. Her passion for early childhood education, combined with her leadership expertise, allows DECC to continue providing a nurturing and high-quality learning environment for all students.

Miss Diane

4-5 year olds

Miss Diane has dedicated over 50 years to the field of early childhood education, the last 15 being at DECC. With a Bachelor’s degree in ECE, she has continually refined her teaching methods to ensure children receive the best start in their educational journey. In her role as Curriculum Coordinator, Miss Diane oversees developmentally appropriate programs that foster creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning. Bringing both passion and expertise to every classroom she has been a part of, Miss Diane’s commitment to nurturing young minds has left a lasting impact on countless children and families throughout her career.

Miss Irene

3 year olds

Miss Irene is a dedicated early childhood educator with 28 years of experience working with toddlers through age 5. Holding an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, she has a deep passion for fostering young children’s growth and development. Known for her creativity, Miss Irene also takes pride in designing the school’s themed, holiday, and event decorations, adding a special touch to the learning environment. Her warm, nurturing approach and artistic talents make her a beloved figure in the school community.

Miss Miranda

2.5-3 year olds

Miss Miranda has been a valued member of our preschool team for the past five years, where she creates a positive and supportive environment for young learners. She has completed the Child Development Associate (CDA) Program and the learnERS Program, which have helped her develop strong skills in early childhood education. Currently, Miss Miranda is working towards her degree in Early Childhood Education to deepen her knowledge and continue to provide high-quality learning experiences for her students. Her dedication, kindness, and commitment to each child’s growth make her a cherished part of our school community.

Miss Kaitlin

18 months-2.5 year olds

Miss Kaitlin is a compassionate preschool teacher with experience supporting children with diverse learning needs, including those on the autism spectrum. She has a passion for fostering an inclusive environment where all children, regardless of their abilities, can thrive and develop to their fullest potential. Currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education, Miss Kaitlin is also enrolled in the Child Development Associate (CDA) certification program to expand her knowledge in the field. Dedicated to creating a nurturing classroom, she strives to meet the unique needs of each child.
