I’m extremely grateful for the love and care my daughter Kamilah has received at this preschool. Mrs. Miranda and Mrs. Kelley have truly gone above and beyond, and I’ve seen a tremendous positive change in Kamilah since she started. She’s been here almost a year now, and I couldn’t be happier with the growth I’ve seen in her emotionally and socially. It’s such a nurturing and supportive environment — I’m so thankful I chose the right place for her!

Darlington early childhood center is an amazing school. My son has been going there since he was 18 months and now will be joining there kindergarten class next year. Their teachers are highly recommended, friendly, caring and good role models. Each one has given my son so much guidance and they take the time to get to know each child individually and work with them, their hands on learning approach has helped my son excel, he is always excited to go back the next day to learn more and see his friends and teachers. The hours are also convenient for a working parent with early drop off times and after school care. They have an outstanding summer program as well, where kids get to learn and play throughout the year, perfect for parents who need a place to send there child if they work in those months.

Love DECC. My son has attended since he was 2 years old and has been with every teacher. It will be bitter sweet leaving and I know WE are going to miss his DECC family! Compassionate teachers who care about your children and know how hard it is to leave them. The teachers know every child’s name that comes in the door regardless of which class they are in. They have fun while learning and make great friends. Highly recommend.

The staff is outstanding. Just the fact that my son comes home and applies everything he learned that day, to his home life, speaks volumes. When I drop him off, in the morning, the staff always greets him and engages him in casual conversation about his night, his clothes, his haircut, etc. We have ZERO regrets about enrolling our son in this school.

Have used this wonderful early education center for my daughter when she was preschool age…she is now 16 and has highest honors in high school. Due to the great start and guidance and learning tools she received at decc. Now my grandson has been there since he was 18 months old…is now 5 years old, and is such a smart and happy child…so much due to the care, compassion, teaching, warmth, understanding, and encouragement that he still receives from decc. Highly recommend any parent to consider decc as their choice to have their child learn and grow in a professional, caring, empathic environment. Love love love the staff too!!! I have two sons and my eldest attended DECC since he was 2 1/2. He grew so much in his time there and I felt very supported by all the teachers and staff there. As a first time parent, I was nervous to have a non-relative watch my son but my fears were eased by the care and compassion all the teachers showed to my son. He has since moved on to “big kid school” but when it came time for my younger son to attend, I had no doubts that this is where he needed to be. As a working mom, I appreciate DECC for all the care and love they have poured into my children and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you, ladies! You’re the best!

DECC has become family in lots of ways. I’ve had 2 kids go through DECC and my youngest will be there for another year. They have provided a loving, trustworthy, thoughtful, and educational environment. Staff make it a point to learn about each child and create lasting relationships. It truly feels like “the neighborhood daycare/early childhood center” that so many caregivers wish for and for that, I have so much gratitude. As a parent, the last I want is to worry about my child when I drop them off. Never have I been worried about leaving my child there. Regarding the building, it’s clean, safe with a security door, and a fenced play yard away from the busy street. they follow the public school curriculum.
The teachers are wonderful. The director is amazing. If your child goes to DECC, you’re one of the lucky ones.

This place is hands down the best thing I have done for my kids. The staff is amazing and will do their best to accommodate any issues that arise with your children. I referred my cousin’s child there and my nephew and anyone else who asks for daycare recommendations. Five stars is not enough!!

My daughter recently started attending DECC as a transfer from another daycare. We were nervous about the transition due to challenges with her previous daycare. DECC has been absolutely supportive and are very well at communicating. All of the teachers and the director have been welcoming with open arms. DECC is hands down the best preschool in the Pawtucket area. My daughter attended for 2.5 years until we moved out of town. She was in two classes with teachers who knew the age groups better than anyone I know. Our fridge was covers in her creative crafts and she is singing new songs she learned at school all the time. All the teachers, even the ones not in my daughter’s class, knew her by name and loved her. They have appropriate rules to keep your little one safe and are great communicators. They have special activities come in, like magicians and traveling zoos, which help with things to look forward to. The play area is safe and large with a good amount of shade and plenty of toys to share. They use a big hall in the building when the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor play. I can’t say enough good things about the staff and program at DECC. I wanted a school that would teach her and grow with her like I would if I was home with her. DECC was the best. We miss it there!
